Sept 14th - 2008
I was not able to watch the game, because I was not in an arae that showed it on TV, however, I was able to catch the game on the radio. The last time a Cubs' pitcher threw a no hitter was 36 years ago. That is older than me

What made this sweet was the fact it was done in a neutral park against the Astros, where the attendance constisted of mostly Cub fans in Miller Park, where the Brew Crew plays. This was due to hurricane Ike. Big Z had not pitched since 9-2 due to usual Cubs pitcher issues. He is a Cubs, he is bound to get something sooner or later. I think it might be a requirement that all great Cubs players go on the DL for some reason. Some come back, some... well...
So yay to you, Z, for your great work, and again, better late than never
