are they fucked or what?

I turned on the tv as normal, had to switch it to satellite, pushed the dtv button on the receiver remote, and NO SOUND. Made sure the receiver was set to dtv, and switched the tv off and back on again...still no sound :/ It is not on mute and I turned the volume WAY up, and nothing.

Was this a problem earlier today? It is a problem now. Please help me fix :/

I had no problem with my service. Make sure the amp shows DTV on it. Switch it to something else, then back again. Also make sure it is not the actual station. Turn on the 360 or something and switch it to there if you still have issues, to verify if DTV is just not sending any sound for some reason.

well, I did switch the receiver to something else and back, and that didn't work. And I did switch through several channels, which also didn't work. I forgot to tell you in my first post that the dtv wouldn't turn off, either. You know how when you hit the off button the tv and dtv go off at the same time? Well, it didn't go off, so I pointed the remote right at it and hit off again (and again and again) and it wouldn't turn off. So perhaps you are correct that it is the dtv box. It s not dtv in general, however, because I am watching it in the living room.

I apologize that I have not done anything more with this tonight. I was exhausted & slept some when Jarin fell asleep with bottle. Now I am up getting things ready for work tomorrow. I did not get to watch House yet - I am hoping to watch it with you when you get home, then go straight to bed. I had been planning on getting up early to make brownies, but since I am up now I will just do it now and sleep more in the morning.
